Diabetes can be cured.

“Regenerative medicine” has been effective
against not only diabetes, but also other illnesses which include high blood pressure, arrhythmia,
kidney disease, cerebral infarction, cardiac
infarction, COPD, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s
disease.

“Regenerative medicine” does not refer to
medicinal treatment that eases fevers or relieves
pain, nor does it refer to surgical treatment by
conducting operations, etc. Rather, it’s a cutting-edge field of medicine that is painless and does not require prescription drugs— it enhances the natural abilities inherent in the body to treat illnesses.

The way regenerative medicine treats illnesses is simple: it extracts and cultures “stem cells” from
an individual’s subcutaneous fat, and restores it back to the body. These “stem cells” are vital cells
that restore deteriorated tissue and repair lost functions, both of which are caused by aging, illness,
etc. However, these number of these “stem cells” decrease to 1/40th of its original count by a
person’s 50s, and to 1/200th by a person’s 80s. By increasing the number of these “stem cells” again, regenerative medicine is able to treat the root of illnesses that had previously only been handled through symptomatic treatment.

Regenerative medicine is a highly cutting-edge and advanced method of medical treatment. Because of this, there are very few medical institutions that are able to offer it as a treatment option. Only institutions that are certified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare are able to conduct regenerative stem cell treatment. Regenerative medicine has also recently gained attention from mass media, which has resulted in insurance companies starting to offer insurance for diabetes, not to mention the sudden influx of patients coming from overseas for treatment.
Due to the fact that this method of treatment is not yet covered by insurance, it requires a large amount of treatment fee; however, when considering the expenses necessary for years of prescription
medication and insulin shots, as well as factors such as potential complications and dialysis
treatments, it is not an unreasonable expense.

According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), the number of people with diabetes is still
increasing on an explosive scale. As of 2015, the number of people with diabetes is 415,000,000; this number is estimated to increase to 642,000,000 by 2040 if no effective countermeasures for diabetes are developed. For reference’s sake, China has the most number of diabetics at 120,000,000. Meanwhile, there are 20,000,000 diabetics in Japan, who account for 16% of its total population. Approximately 94.4% of those who underwent comprehensive health examinations were diagnosed with some sort of illness, with diabetes and high blood pressure being the most frequently diagnosed. Known as the silent killer, diabetes progresses with barely-noticeable symptoms and can cause angina and heart attack without the preliminary chest pains; it is a terrifying illness that gives rise to various complications.

However, diabetes can be cured.

Furthermore, regenerative medicine is also effective for anti-aging (including skin rejuvenation,
improvement of gray hairs, balding, presbyopia, frequent urination, arrhythmia, shoulder pain, lost
energy, insomnia, erectile dysfunction, among others). This is yet another aspect of regenerative
medicine that deserves our attention.
